The park is situated on the slopes of the Jetysu Alatau Ridge and occupies the area of more than 356 hectares. This area is known for its mild climate, thanks to which Jungar-Alatau (sometimes spelled as Zhongar-Alatau) became a haven for many rare animals. Local flora is especially rich: there are apple forests, relict species of trees and shrubs.

There’s no denying that the Jungar-Alatau National Park is a primary go-to destination for any fan of nature. It offers some of the most impressive scenery in the country.
