In the Batan Tract, the only Chinturgen moss-spruce forest in the Tien Shan Mountains grows. It covers an area of almost 90 hectares. Among the dense spruce forest there is a moss cover up to 60 cm deep, covering permafrost on the steep northern slopes. Unique Asian spruce forest grows mainly on the northern slopes.

A lot of mushrooms grow there. For instance, milk mushrooms, saffron milk caps, and genus boletus.
